			The mission of Team Activities for Special Kids is to enrich and nurture the lives of children with special needs by providing opportunities for them to participate in sports, recreation and social activities.

We started out with 26 athletes playing tee ball at Salem Lutheran Church. Today over 800 individuals with special needs participate in TASK activities per year and the number continues to grow. As we look to the future of TASK, we realize that there are three key ingredients to ensuring its existence. The first is the athletes. The second critical component is volunteers. This program could not and would not exist without the time and dedication of our volunteers. And the final key element is financial support. We are asking that you please consider TASK as one of your choices. In order for us to continue providing the existing opportunities and create new ones, we need the financial support of our TASK family and friends. We have a variety of opportunities to give financial support to TASK. Here are just a few: Annual Fundraisers: TASK Annual Golf Tournament and Silent Auction TASK Annual Trivia Night TASK Annual Dinner Dance and Auction Additional Fundraisers: 9th Street Abbey Happy Hour Texas Hold 'Em Tournament Matching Gifts: Many companies provide financial support to nonprofit organizations within the community through a Matching Funds Program. Typically, the way it works is if an employee makes a financial contribution to a charitable organization, the company will match the donation. If your company does offer this program, please consider designating TASK as your organization. If TASK is not found on your company’s list of participants, please contact the appropriate department and ask them to send us an application form.
